It was summer 2012. While on a flight to vacation in Los Cabos, an idea came to me… right there on the plane! It had something to do with the Mayan civilization, which is odd, because the Mayans never went to Los Cabos, as far as anyone knows. Anyway the family was patient enough to let me jot down few notes poolside.
Then, with more than a little assistance from the kids, we fashioned a traditional Mayan monolith out of sand.
The sun set on our monolith, much as it had on the cities of the Maya many years ago…
